The streets were lined
with beautiful houses

All built of green marble
and sparkling emeralds

We walked over pavement
of that same green

Glittering in the brightness,
in the brightness of the sun.

Every window pane reflected in the sky
Over the emerald city
As we blushed red in the sun


Now even the sun
and all you many people here

the children ran away

In the Green City
with the purple
moon in the sky

And every star Laid in between
I fear it adds up to absolutely nothing

between my happy & my hopeless thoughts

I go wandering in my own brain,
it has been this way since the very start

Yet I see no relationship al all
as I ask each one of you this
simple question:

Are we our brother's keepers?
